Nassos Daphnis, Minimalist Painter and Horticulturist, Resurrected in Saint-Paul-de-Vence

The CAB Foundation brings the forgotten American artist Nassos Daphnis, a pioneer of Minimalism with a passion for gardening, back into the spotlight in a fresh exhibition.

The exhibition in Saint-Paul-de-Vence is part of this rediscovery, giving European audiences a chance to gauge Daphnis's importance to the history of abstraction. It could also stimulate a reassessment of his legacy at a time when institutions are again looking at peripheral voices of Minimalism. Art lovers will thus be able to discover the work of a man who, in the words of art critic Robert C. Morgan, "transformed geometry into poetry."
