In 1968, two conceptual artists meet in New York and develop an artistic correspondence exploring the limits of art and intimacy.

In 1968, Scott Burton and Eduardo Costa met in New York City. Costa, born in 1940, had recently moved from Buenos Aires, where he was part of a circle reimagining Conceptual art as events or images capable of infiltrating international mass media through spectacle. His 'Fashion Fictions' (1966–) exemplified this idea: unwieldy and almost impossible to realize.
