Campus caraïbéen des arts

The Campus caraïbéen des arts (CCA) is the public higher art school of Martinique, located in Fort-de-France. It succeeds the former institut régional d'art visuel de la Martinique and operates under the authority of the collectivité territoriale, with the accreditation of the ministère de la Culture.

The institution prepares students for the Diplôme National d'Art (DNA), a bachelor's-level diploma common to French higher art schools, accessible after an entrance examination and training structured in cycles (a preparatory year followed by the programme phase).

Strengths

• Teaching in visual arts combining studio practices (drawing, painting, volume, installation), digital image and media, photography and video, complemented by art history and theory.
• A small scale, conducive to individualized follow-up and support for students' personal projects.
• A distinctive Caribbean anchoring within the landscape of French art schools: questions of creolization, memory, insularity, and environment naturally run through the research conducted at the school, with links to the regional artistic scene and the Americas.

The CCA thus constitutes a gateway to higher art studies for students from the Antilles, while awarding a recognized diploma allowing further studies in mainland France or abroad.
