École Boulle

Overview

École Boulle (officially École supérieure des arts appliqués Boulle) is a public school in Paris, located in the 12th arrondissement. Founded at the end of the 19th century, it bears the name of André-Charles Boulle, cabinetmaker to the king, and remains historically linked to the teaching of furniture and cabinetmaking trades.

Its distinctiveness lies in the articulation between workshop craftsmanship and design conception. The workshops (cabinetmaking, marquetry, turning, chasing, engraving, art bronze, jewelry, tapestry, sculpture, among others) coexist alongside project-based teaching, drawing, art culture, and technology courses.

Programs and fields covered
