ECOLE NATIONALE SUPERIEURE A.A-MET.D'ART.

The École nationale supérieure des arts appliqués et des métiers d'art (ENSAAMA), better known as Olivier de Serres, is a public institution in Paris located in the 15th arrondissement. It belongs to the small historic network of French graduate schools of applied arts, alongside notably the École Boulle, Duperré, and the École Estienne.

Its distinctive feature is bringing together under one roof design in several of its fields and métiers d'art (art crafts), with a pedagogy based on the workshop, material experimentation, and project work.

Programs and fields taught

• DN MADE (diplôme national des métiers d'art et du design) in several specializations: space, object, materials, graphic design, digital, among others.
• DSAA (diplôme supérieur d'arts appliqués), master's level, oriented toward design and creation, with an in-depth research and project dimension.
• Teaching related to art craftsmanship: material work, volume, decoration, implementation techniques.

Strengths

The school is recognized for the solidity of its technical culture and the quality of its workshops, as well as for the articulation between critical reflection, design culture, and fabrication. The curricula incorporate professional partnerships, workshops, and internships, which facilitates entry into agencies, studios, workshops, or continuing studies (DSAA, graduate art and design schools, ENSCI, universities).

Admission is by application via Parcoursup for the DN MADE, and by application and interview for the DSAA.
