Ecole nationale supérieure d'art et de design de Nancy

L'École nationale supérieure d'art et de design de Nancy (ENSAD Nancy) is a public institution of higher artistic education under the supervision of the ministère de la Culture. It awards diplomas recognized at national and European level: the DNA (Diplôme National d'Art, bachelor's degree) after three years, then the DNSEP (master's degree) after five years.

The school offers two main orientations, art and design, with teaching covering in particular drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, video, sound, printed image, graphic design and object or space design. Technical workshops and publishing practices occupy an important place in the curriculum.

The pedagogy is based on individualized follow-up of the student's project, combined with theoretical courses (art history, aesthetics, visual culture) and workshops led by invited artists, designers and professionals. Studies include periods of international mobility and internships.

Located in Nancy, a city marked by the heritage of the École de Nancy and Art nouveau, the school is part of a regional and cross-border network of art and design institutions in the Grand Est, fostering exchanges, joint projects and cooperation with cultural institutions.

Admission to the first year is by entrance competition, via Parcoursup; admissions during the course of study are possible upon presentation of an application file and an interview.
