Overview

The École supérieure d'art et de design d'Amiens Métropole (ÉSAD Amiens) is a public institution of higher artistic education, under the supervision of the ministère de la Culture. Heir to the city's école des beaux-arts, it awards recognized national diplomas: the DNA (bac+3) followed by the DNSEP (bac+5, master's degree).

Orientation and strengths

The school is primarily identified by its grounding in design graphique, and more specifically in typographie and design éditorial, fields in which it is a reference in France. Work on lettering, typeface design, printed imagery, and visual languages holds a central place there, alongside a broader approach to artistic practices and digital tools.

The pedagogy combines technical workshops (édition, sérigraphie et impression, image, outils numériques), theoretical teachings (histoire de l'art et du design, sciences humaines) and personal projects followed in atelier.
