Presentation

The École supérieure d'art et de design Toulon Provence Méditerranée (ESADTPM) is a public institution of higher artistic education, heir to the former École des beaux-arts de Toulon. Like other French art schools, it awards degrees recognized by the Ministère de la Culture and included in the European framework of studies: the DNA (bachelor's level, over three years) followed by the DNSEP (master's level, over five years).

Teaching

The pedagogy is built on a first generalist year, during which students explore the fundamentals: drawing, color, volume, photography, video, publishing, visual culture and art history. The curriculum then moves toward art and design, with ongoing studio work, workshops led by outside practitioners, and individualized guidance on personal projects, assessed through semester reviews.

The school is shaped by its Mediterranean and port-city territory: the relationship to landscape, the sea, environmental issues and urban space frequently informs student projects.

Environment

Located in Toulon, ESADTPM is part of the local cultural fabric (museums, exhibition venues, festivals) and offers exhibitions, residencies and partnerships that allow students to present their work to the public.
