Ecole Supérieure de Design de Troyes
Presentation
L'École Supérieure de Design de Troyes (ESAD Troyes) is a private design school located in the Aube, within the Troyes campus animated by the Y SCHOOLS network (formerly Groupe ESC Troyes). This affiliation with a group that notably includes a management school explains one of its particularities: an approach to design conceived in close connection with business, innovation and project management.
Programs and disciplines
The school offers a progressive curriculum, with a first cycle at bac+3 level followed by further studies up to bac+5. The courses cover the major fields of design: product and object design, spatial design and scenography, graphic and digital design, as well as service design and usage innovation.
The teaching relies largely on studio work and projects: documentary research, drawing and representation, model-making and prototyping, digital tools, design culture. Workshops, commissions and projects carried out with outside partners occupy an important place, as do internship periods and international openness.
Who the school is for
It suits students who wish for a designer training with a professional and entrepreneurial dimension, rather than strictly academic or artistic. Recruitment is based on application file and interview, via the Parcoursup procedure for post-bac entry.
As a practical matter, it is recommended to check directly with the school the exact titles of the diplomas, their recognition and the current year's admission procedures.
