EICAR

Founded in the early 1970s, EICAR (École internationale de création audiovisuelle et de réalisation) is one of the oldest private film schools in France. Located in the Paris region, it caters to students wishing to train in the technical and artistic professions of image and sound within a professionally oriented framework.

Teaching approach

The teaching relies largely on practice: shooting exercises, short films, workshops on set and in studio, post-production. Students work in teams recreating the real conditions of a set, each successively occupying different roles before specializing. The instructors are mostly working professionals.
