Located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, ENSAAMA (École nationale supérieure des arts appliqués et des métiers d'art) is a public institution under the supervision of the ministère de l'Éducation nationale. It is often referred to by the name of the street where it is located, Olivier de Serres.

It is part of the network of Parisian graduate schools of applied arts, alongside École Boulle, Duperré, and Estienne, each with its own specialties. ENSAAMA stands out for its broad offering combining design and métiers d'art, with a strong studio and project culture.

Programs and strengths

The main program is the DN MADE (Diplôme national des métiers d'art et du design, bac+3), offered in several specializations: space, object, graphic design, materials, as well as tracks oriented toward métiers d'art. The school also offers DSAA programs (bac+5, conferring master's degree status) for continuing in design at a conception and research level.

Admission

Entry is mainly after the baccalauréat via Parcoursup, based on review of academic records and a portfolio of personal work. The selection process is reputedly demanding, and many candidates carefully prepare their application, sometimes after a year of artistic preparation.
