ETPA

ETPA — Toulouse

ETPA is a private school in Toulouse built around two complementary poles: photography on one hand, and video games and 3D animation on the other. It also has a campus in Rennes and is part of a network of private creative schools (AD Education group).

Photography

The photography program is the school's historical foundation. The teaching combines technique (studio and outdoor shooting, lighting, lab and digital workflow, retouching, printing) with the development of a personal visual language. Students work on commissions and projects across various registers: portrait, fashion, still life and packshot, architecture, reportage and documentary, and fine art photography. Building a portfolio and a graduation project structures the course of study.

Video games and animation

The second pole trains students in game art and animation professions: concept art, modeling and texturing, animation, game design, 3D environments. The pedagogy relies on group projects that replicate the organization of a studio, using industry-standard software.

Points of attention

As a paid private school, ETPA admits students based on application review and interview, and offers an environment strongly oriented toward practice and professionalization (internships, industry professionals as instructors). As with any private school, it is advisable to directly verify the level of recognition of the targeted diplomas, current fees, and possibilities for work-study programs or funding before committing.
