Overview

The Faculté des Lettres et Sciences Humaines (FLSH) is one of the historic components of the Université Catholique de Lille ("la Catho"), a private higher education institution of general interest founded at the end of the 19th century. It is located on the campus Vauban, in the heart of Lille, alongside the other faculties and schools of the same group.

Profile and disciplines

The FLSH covers a wide spectrum in the humanities: modern literature, history, philosophy, foreign languages and cultures, education sciences, social sciences, as well as a Arts du spectacle track. This last one is the main entry point for students interested in theatre, cinema and audiovisual arts: study of works and aesthetics, history of the performing and screen arts, film analysis, dramaturgy, with practical workshops and meetings with professionals.
