L'École de design Nantes Atlantique - Site de Laval

Presentation

L'École de design Nantes Atlantique is a private higher education institution specialising in design, founded in Nantes and affiliated with the chambre de commerce et d'industrie. It is recognised for an approach to design oriented towards usage, innovation and professionalisation, with numerous projects carried out in partnership with companies and local authorities.

In addition to its main campus on the île de Nantes, the school has developed complementary sites, including one located in Changé, in the Laval urban area — a territory long identified for its activities in virtual reality and immersive technologies.

Programmes and strengths

The Laval site offers DN MADE programmes (diplôme national des métiers d'art et du design, bachelor's level) in the Espace, Objet and Numérique tracks. These programmes cover, respectively, interior architecture and space design, product and industrial design, and interaction, interface and digital media design.

The pedagogy is based on the project studio, teamwork, drawing practice, model-making and prototyping, as well as mastery of digital tools (3D modelling, interface design tools). Internships and workshops occupy an important place in the curriculum.

Good to know

Admission is through Parcoursup. As with any private institution, it is advisable to check directly with the school regarding tuition fees, selection procedures and possible continuation of studies (particularly towards the institution's master's programmes).
