LISAA — Paris

Founded in 1986, LISAA (L'Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués) is a private institution of higher education in applied arts, present in Paris and several other French cities. In Paris, the school is organized into thematic campuses, each dedicated to a major family of professions.

Main programs

• Fashion: styling, pattern making, textile design, accessories; fashion shows and collection projects punctuate the curriculum.
• Graphic design: visual identity, publishing, digital design, motion design.
• Animation and video games: 2D/3D, production of graduation short films, game art.
• Interior architecture and design: space, scenography, furniture, product design.

A preparatory year (prépa arts appliqués) allows baccalaureate holders who did not come from an artistic track to build a portfolio and choose their specialty.

Key points

The pedagogy is project-oriented, with workshops, commissioned work in partnership with companies, and internship periods. Instructors are mostly working professionals. Several programs lead to qualifications listed in the RNCP: it is recommended to check, program by program and for the current year, the exact level of recognition of the intended diploma, as well as the admission procedures (portfolio, interview, book).
