Lycée Adolphe Cherioux

Le lycée Adolphe Chérioux is a public educational institution located in Vitry-sur-Seine, in the Val-de-Marne. Set on a large wooded site, it is a comprehensive lycée combining general, technological and vocational programs, as well as a higher education design center.

Design programs

The institution offers the DN MADE (Diplôme national des métiers d'art et du design), a three-year program conferring a bachelor's degree level, with two specializations:

• Espace — interior architecture, scenography, spatial planning and design, from micro-space to urban scale;
• Événement — event design, temporary scenography, stands, exhibitions, communication devices in space.

Both specializations share a common culture of spatial project work: site surveys and analyses, models, technical drawing and perspective, digital tools (CAD/3D, computer-generated imagery), materials and their implementation, as well as a culture of the arts, design and architecture.

Pedagogical approach

The program is based on alternating project workshops, theoretical teaching and practical work, with workshops, commissions or projects in connection with outside partners, and internship periods. The objective is twofold: to prepare for professional integration (interior architecture agencies, scenography, event planning, local authorities) and to allow for further studies in DSAA, master's programs, or higher schools of art and design.

Application for the first year via Parcoursup, based on a portfolio review; a foundation year (mise à niveau) or a solid practice in visual arts are assets.
