Lycée Andre Argouges

The lycée André Argouges, a public institution located in Grenoble, is one of the design and applied arts training hubs of the académie. Like many polyvalent lycées, it combines general and technological tracks with short-cycle higher education, allowing students to pursue a path in design within a public framework, with tuition limited to registration fees.

Design programs

The institution offers the DN MADE (Diplôme national des métiers d'art et du design), a bachelor's-level diploma over three years, with two specializations:

• Mode: clothing, textile, accessories, from research drawing to prototyping, with a culture of material and volume on the body.
• Graphisme: visual identity, typography, publishing, printed and digital imagery.

The curriculum combines project workshops, practical instruction (drawing, color, volume, digital tools, manufacturing techniques) and theoretical instruction (design culture, art history, English). It includes internships and a final-year project, preparing students both for professional integration and for further studies in DSAA, at a higher school of art and design, or in a master's program.

Admission to the DN MADE takes place via Parcoursup, based on an application file generally including personal work or a portfolio. Profiles coming from STD2A, general baccalauréat, or a preparatory year are common.
