Lycée Edgar Faure is a public institution located in Morteau, in the Haut-Doubs region, in close proximity to the Swiss border. Alongside its general and technological tracks, it offers a higher education program in design: the DN MADE mention Objet.

Strong ties to the region

The school's location is inseparable from the history of the Haut-Doubs, a region with a tradition of watchmaking and microtechnology, still marked today by a dense network of precision businesses (watchmaking, mechanics, screw machining, eyewear, luxury subcontracting) on both sides of the border. This industrial environment provides a frame of reference for the projects undertaken in the DN MADE program: object design, and the relationship to materials, processes, and precision craftsmanship.

Content and method

The DN MADE Objet, a national diploma at bachelor's level (bac +3), combines instruction in art and design culture, visual and graphic practices, representation tools (drawing, volume, models, CAD), and project workshops. The program is built around workshop work, workshops ("workshops"), and internship periods, culminating in a final personal project.

The program enables professional integration as an assistant designer or junior designer, or further studies in DSAA, in a master's program, or even at a higher school of art and design.
