Lycée Evariste Galois

Lycée Évariste Galois is a public institution for general and technological education located in Noisy-le-Grand, in Seine-Saint-Denis, in the eastern part of the Paris metropolitan area. Like several public high schools in the Île-de-France region, it hosts, in addition to its secondary programs, a short higher education division accessible via Parcoursup.

Post-bac programs

The institution offers the BTS Métiers de l'audiovisuel, a national diploma over two years, with two options:

• Techniques d'ingénierie et exploitation des équipements: implementation, adjustment and maintenance of technical chains for capture, broadcasting and post-production;
• Gestion de la production: preparation and follow-up of an audiovisual project, budgets, schedules, contracts, filming logistics and team coordination.

Strengths

The BTS audiovisuel is based on project-based learning: students work in multidisciplinary teams, in the manner of a small production company, which requires collaboration between the different options. The program combines technical teaching, audiovisual and film culture, applied physical sciences, economics-management and languages, with periods of internship in companies.

Since this is a public program within a lycée, tuition fees are those of a state institution, and admission is based on application review via Parcoursup, mainly from holders of general, technological (notably STI2D) or vocational baccalauréats in the field.
