Lycée Henri Martin

Lycée Henri Martin is a public school offering general and technological education, located in Saint-Quentin, in the Aisne department. A long-established institution well rooted in the Hauts-de-France region, it hosts, alongside its seconde, première and terminale classes, post-baccalaureate programs, including an audiovisual hub that makes it one of the region's well-known addresses for training in the technical trades of image and sound.

Audiovisual programs

The school offers the BTS Métiers de l'audiovisuel, available in several tracks: métiers de l'image, montage et post-production, and techniques d'ingénierie et exploitation des équipements. These two-year programs combine technical teaching (camerawork, lighting, post-production workflow, networks and equipment), audiovisual and film culture, applied physical sciences, production management, and languages.

Strengths

The teaching relies heavily on project-based practice: shoots, team exercises replicating professional conditions, use of sound stages and editing rooms, and internship periods in companies or production structures. A BTS program remains highly career-oriented: it prepares students for direct entry into the workforce as an assistant image, editor, or operations technician, while also allowing further studies toward a licence professionnelle or at a specialized school.

Admission is through Parcoursup, based on application review.
