Lycée Le Paraclet

Overview

The lycée Le Paraclet, located in Quimper in Brittany, is a private school under state contract that combines general and technological secondary education with higher education programs. It is one of the few structures in Finistère to offer a complete post-baccalaureate design curriculum, making it an accessible entry point for students in southern Brittany wishing to train for design professions without leaving the region.

Programs and strengths

The school offers the DN MADE (National Diploma in Arts and Design Crafts), a bachelor's-level diploma over three years, recruited via Parcoursup, with several specializations:

  • Graphisme: visual identity, typography, publishing, print and screen communication;
  • Numérique: interface design, user experience, motion and interactive media;
  • Événement: scenography, temporary space design, signage and communication staging.

The DN MADE pedagogy is based on alternating between project workshops, theoretical teachings (history of art and design, applied arts culture), technologies and languages, with internship periods and a final capstone project. The specializations offered allow for bridges and collaborations between specialties, particularly on projects combining image, space and interfaces.

Good to know

The DN MADE allows for direct professional integration or further studies in DSAA, master's programs, or a higher school of art and design. It is recommended to consult the institution's website for admission procedures and application requirements.
