Lycée polyvalent Germaine Tillion

The lycée polyvalent Germaine Tillion, in Montbéliard (Doubs, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté), is a public institution combining general, technological and vocational programmes with a short-cycle higher education division. It is among the region's lycées offering the BTS Métiers de l'audiovisuel, a nationally recognised qualification in the fields of film, television, radio and content production.

Audiovisual programmes

Three options of the BTS Métiers de l'audiovisuel are listed there on Parcoursup:

  • Gestion de la production: preparation and administrative, budgetary and logistical follow-up of shoots;
  • Techniques d'ingénierie et exploitation des équipements: operation and maintenance of recording and broadcasting equipment and control rooms;
  • Montage et post-production: picture editing, colour grading, graphics, final programme completion.

This structure allows students from complementary specialisations to work together on shared projects, as in a real production team — a distinctive strength of the audiovisual BTS programmes.

What you should know

The teaching is based on alternating technical instruction, film and audiovisual culture, general education (economics, management, English, applied sciences) and work placements in companies. The BTS is completed over two years and leads either to employment or to further studies (licences professionnelles, film schools, universities).

Applications are made via Parcoursup; it is advisable to consult the institution's page to find out the expectations and the options actually open in the year of application.
