Lycée René Cassin Bayonne-Biarritz is a public institution spread across several sites between Bayonne and Biarritz. Alongside its general and technological programs, it hosts a higher education pole recognized in the region for its BTS Métiers de l'audiovisuel.

Audiovisual Programs

Two options of the BTS Métiers de l'audiovisuel are offered there:

• Techniques d'ingénierie et exploitation des équipements: implementation, adjustment and maintenance of technical chains for capture, broadcast and control room operations;
• Montage et post-production: image and sound editing, color grading, graphic packaging, flow and format management, program finalization.

The teaching combines theoretical courses (applied physics, image and sound sciences, audiovisual culture, sector economics and law, English) and practical work on set, in control rooms and editing suites, with collective projects and a professional internship. The diploma prepares for direct entry as a technician or production assistant, in technical services, television or cultural institutions, but also allows for further study in a licence professionnelle, a specialized school or a film school.

These BTS programs are selective and recruit through Parcoursup: the application highlights scientific and technical results, motivation and genuine cinematographic and audiovisual culture. An interest in teamwork and the constraints of filming is essential.
