Rubika

Rubika is a private school located in Valenciennes, in the Hauts-de-France region. It emerged from the merger of three historic training programs created at the initiative of the local chamber of commerce and industry: Supinfocom (animation), Supinfogame (video games), and ISD (industrial design and transportation design). This union under a single brand is its main distinguishing feature: three creative industry pathways coexist on the same campus, with bridges and joint projects between them.

Disciplines

• 2D/3D Animation and VFX: a long program oriented toward producing graduation films, with strong emphasis on storytelling, storyboarding, layout, and artistic direction.
• Video games: game design, game art, game programming, and production management.
• Design: product design and transportation design, close to industry methods.

The pedagogy relies heavily on collective projects and a studio rhythm: students work in teams on supervised productions, later presented during public sessions and at festivals. Short films from the animation track are regularly selected for international festivals, including Annecy, which has built the school's reputation with French and foreign studios.

Rubika also develops international campuses (notably in Canada and India), fostering exchanges and multicultural projects. Admission is based on application review and interview, with an expected portfolio showing drawing, observation, and visual culture.
