The Université de Strasbourg is a large multidisciplinary university, born in 2009 from the reunification of the three Strasbourg universities. Heir to a long academic tradition, it is today one of the leading centers of teaching and research in France, with a campus at the heart of a European city marked by the presence of international institutions.

Arts and cinema

Artistic training programs are grouped within the Faculté des arts, which brings together visual arts, performing arts (theater, cinema), music and musicology, as well as design and visual studies. This configuration fosters bridges between practices and a broad artistic culture.

The licence Cinéma et audiovisuel combines the history and aesthetics of cinema, film analysis, image theories, and an introduction to practice (writing, directing, editing). The curriculum continues at the master's level, with both theoretical and creative orientations, backed by research conducted in the university's arts laboratories.
