Anarkhé-exposition Asile_Exodus & Fuga

As part of the second edition of the Biennale Archipel#Chaos-Monde, CWB|Paris presents its autumn exhibition. At the end of 2024, the Centre aka le vaisseau launched its biennial Archipel#Chaos-Monde with a Focus devoted to overseas and pan-African territories. These Rencontres intended, to borrow Dipesh Chakrabarty's expression, to "provincialize" the European gaze and bring together voices that unsettle economies of thought and set epistemic disobedience ablaze. In this second edition, what creates a link, what creates a language will be the Méditerranée – considered as a possibly unifying element, not through a reduction to similarities but through a valorization of an ethics of the multiple, the diverse and the irreducible. In the shadow of certainties2, the liquid zones, the zones of flux, the Méditerranée offers the opportunity for a metaphorical narrative that turns into a parable of rethought othernesses, crossings, circulations, migrations. Archipel#Chaos-Monde will also have as its "island" an Anarkhè-Exposition6 named "Asile-Exodus & Fuga" which will bring together works that probe the issues of human and non-human exiles, of inviolability, of exoduses, of refuges, of shelter and also of mutations – works that touch on the highly polysemic notion of asylum. Works that dismantle state-national and imperialist visions and postures.
