Atelier d'arts plastiques à la Maison de Balzac : leporello
Maison de Balzac musée et bibliothèque

Visual Arts Workshop led by Angélique Ivanov, visual artist. Themes and variations around the body: creation in all its states. Creation of a leporello, also called an accordion book. Come and create a graphic frieze, in the form of a leporello, from the simple sketch to the finished drawing. How does the artist take hold of a theme? How does he shape, distort, transform the subject that imposes itself upon him in an obsessive way? Balzac is a perfectionist, making up to 19 corrections of the same text. Rodin, for his part, took seven years and produced more than 120 proofs to arrive at his sculpture of the author. But is it truly an outcome? In this workshop, you will have to follow rules of the game, for example rhythms, constraints… All of this within the effervescence of the artistic process.
