Trace the history of an iconic Parisian building, from its creation in 1784. THE EXHIBITION The exhibition « Beaujon : De La Folie* à la ZAC* » traces the history of an iconic Parisian building since its creation in 1784. It documents its transformations, from the Folie-Beaujon to the current Zone d'Aménagement Concerté, offering a chance to discover the multiple lives of this historic site in the 8e arrondissement. The exhibition will take you back in time to 1784, then bring you back towards the present, passing through its various identities, between hospice, hospital, police prefecture, etc. Witness to Parisian history, the Hôtel Beaujon also experienced the numerous changes of the neighborhood, as well as important historical moments, such as the assassination of Paul Doumer and Mai 68. The exhibition recounts each of these events, which shaped the history of the Hôtel Beaujon over its 242 years of existence, with photos and period articles exclusively preserved at the center. *FOLIE: a country house or reception venue built from the 14th century onward, and mainly in the 19th century, by the aristocracy or the wealthy bourgeoisie on the outskirts of cities. After finding period photos and articles, he decided to dig a little deeper into the history of the Hôtel Beaujon. During 2025, he conducted research in various archives, resulting in a complete exhibition that he created from A to Z.
