In echo to the exhibition « La photographie en toutes lettres », the library welcomes David Fourré, founder and publisher of « lamaindonne », and member of France PhotoBook, the association bringing together French photo book publishers. Based in Aveyron, David Fourré has worked for over twenty years in publishing and graphic design. Passionate about photography, he launched the éditions lamaindonne in 2011. His talent has been recognized, among other honors, by two Prix Nadar – Gens d'images: in 2022 with Siempre Que by Céline Croze, and in 2025 with Aux ombres, by Simon Vansteenwinckel. He was also awarded the HiP 2019 prize in the category "publisher of the year". How is a photo book born, from the idea to its distribution in bookshops, through the various stages of its creation and the challenges of production? What has been his journey, has he seen the profession evolve? Which books, which magazines have inspired him? The library talks take place in the reading room. It is an opportunity to experience a unique moment exchanging with a figure of photography, surrounded by works available for free consultation. As always, the discussion will be open and audience participation encouraged. Discover the publications of éditions lamaindonne.
