Conférence inaugurale de l'exposition "Histoire des Juifs de la banlieue du nord-est parisien"

As part of the exhibition Histoire des Juifs de la banlieue du nord-est parisien : entre intégration et persécutions (1859-1960) On the occasion of the opening of the exhibition, this event will look back at the history of the Jewish populations of the north-eastern Paris suburbs, from their migratory journeys to their integration into the social, cultural, economic and political life of these territories. Through individual and collective trajectories, it will explore the forms of solidarity, engagement and resistance that marked this history. The figure of Chuna Bajtsztok, a young immigrant Jew and resistance fighter shot at Mont-Valérien in 1943, will notably shed light on these destinies at the heart of the exhibition. In the presence of Zoé Grumberg, historian, curator of the exhibition, Benoît Pouvreau, historian, curator of the exhibition and inventory officer at the archaeology and cultural heritage department of the Conseil départemental de la Seine-Saint-Denis, and Sandrine Swarc, historian.
