Convergences – l’exposition d’art urbain : 10 ans de La Place

To discover from Friday, October 2 to Thursday, October 8 at La Place! For La Place's 10th anniversary, we are working on a group exhibition bringing together around twenty French and international artists from urban cultures. The exhibition is organized by Maquis-Art for La Place, with curation by Mika Papamichail. The title CONVERGENCES echoes Châtelet-Les Halles, a true meeting point at the heart of Paris, but also the crossing of generations, styles and scenes that make up urban art today. The idea is to bring together artists with very different worlds but sharing the same culture. Graffiti, muralism, illustration, post-graffiti and contemporary urban art will engage in dialogue through a selection of established artists, each presenting two works representative of their practice. The exhibition will also echo the history of the Aérosol and the various projects that continue today to keep urban cultures alive in France, notably with the recent opening of the Aérosol La Tulipe in Marseille. Among the first artists announced: Réso, Korse, Apset, Billy Gee, Jo Ber, Difuz and Aero. We'll tell you more about the full list of artists very soon… From October 2 to 8 at La Place!
