Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève

Free tour of the building of the bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève, built by Henri Labrouste and listed as a historic monument: access to the director's office and to the museum rooms it contains, including the oldest astronomical desk clock in the world. Librarians will be present all day to welcome you and talk with you about the building and their profession. Have you always dreamed of visiting the library and its hidden treasures? We invite you to join us on Sunday, September 20th for the Journées européennes du patrimoine. Free admission from 1pm to 7pm! No tour on Saturday, September 19th (the library will welcome readers as usual). You will also be able to discover our new exhibition La fabrique des collections in the library's hall.
