On the occasion of the release of her new book Soviet, the photographer will be signing her book and presenting a selection of photographs at the Atelier Galerie Taylor on Friday, November 6th from 6pm. Friday, November 6th from 6pm - Atelier Galerie Taylor, Paris 10e On the occasion of the release of Soviet, the new book by Irène Jonas, published in November 2026 by Éditions de Juillet with a preface by Hervé Le Tellier, the photographer will be signing her book and presenting a selection of photographs at the Atelier Galerie Taylor. Through this book, Irène Jonas explores less a territory than a memory: that of a country marked by the upheavals of History, but also that of her own family, whose exile from Russia in 1922 forms the intimate starting point of her gaze. In black and white, her photographs are delicately enhanced with oil paint. This gesture blurs the boundaries between document and imagination, observation and memory, photography and painting. The images thus become possible memories, caught between memory and fiction.
