Created using linocut and colored with gouache, the plates of this beautiful book are brimming with everything that has been invented for dressing, adorning oneself, practicing sports, working, styling hair, or wearing shoes... We also discover the undergarments of a princess, a samurai, an Inuit... Joëlle Jolivet is a French illustrator internationally recognized for her numerous children's books and her collaborations with the press. She is as interested in images as in typography. She does not hide from us that linocut sticks to her skin, like a label she has such a hard time shedding, for the pleasure of the eyes.
