Exposition Couloirs irréguliers
Maison de la Conversation

An engaged art exhibition on migratory journeys, exile and human dignity, through a pictorial series. For several years, my artistic work has questioned the major issues of our society. Couloirs irréguliers is a series devoted to the human realities of migration. At a time when Europe is facing decisive choices regarding the welcome and integration of migrants, I seek to make visible the individual stories that too often disappear behind numbers and political discourse. My work explores violence, despair and fear, but also the strength, courage and hope of those fleeing war, poverty or climate upheaval. For many, the choice comes down to living through horror or fleeing. An uncertain and perilous journey then begins, despite a shared hope: to live with dignity and build a better future. The path through the exhibition symbolically evokes this crossing: the reasons for leaving, fear, borders, the dangers of the journey, waiting, arrival, but also rejection, solidarity and hope. By depicting faceless bodies, I seek to reveal their anonymity and give a presence to those who are not seen. My artistic commitment has also extended into the field as a volunteer with Utopia 56, notably through distributing meals and providing shelter to migrant families. The volunteers and migrants I met deeply nourished my reflection, transformed my outlook and helped this series evolve. Couloirs irréguliers therefore does not seek only to represent exile, but to invite the public to take a more human look at those who live it. In this spirit, I hope my art can become an act of solidarity, a space for dialogue and a gesture of humanity.
