Nature as a source of inspiration: Exhibition of illustrations by Kei When nature becomes a work of art ; Credits: KEI Throughout the month of October, the bibliothèque Maurice Genevoix welcomes the naturalist illustrations of the artist Kei. Fascinated by the living world, she casts a sensitive and meticulous eye on insects, those small creatures that are often discreet but essential to the balance of our ecosystems. Through a series of black-and-white drawings executed with great precision, the artist reveals the richness of forms, textures and details of the insect world. Bumblebees, butterflies, ants or bugs become true subjects of observation and creation, at the crossroads of art and natural sciences. This exhibition is part of our special season “La nature comme source d'inspiration”, which invites young and old alike to look differently at the living world around us and to discover how it nourishes artists' imagination. And to extend this encounter, Kei will lead an illustration workshop on Saturday, November 28 at 4pm, allowing the public to discover her artistic approach and to be introduced to naturalist observation and drawing. Exhibition, free admission Workshop, adults and children from age 8, registration required at 01 46 07 35 05, by email at bibliotheque.maurice-genevoix@paris.fr or in person with your librarians.
