The exhibition "Écorces" by Frédéric Combeau celebrates the trees of the Arboretum de Paris, revealing the diversity and beauty of these plant "skins". Frédéric Combeau is a photographer at the Direction des Espaces Verts et de l'Environnement of the Ville de Paris. He produces numerous reports on nature in the city and has specialized in wildlife photography. Here he reveals a new facet of his talent with tree bark. He focused on the diversity of textures. All the photographs reveal interesting details: crevices, tatters, knots or ridges that cover an old branch and recall its memory. Each bark is fascinating and bears witness to the history of its tree. The Arboretum, one of the four sites of the Jardin Botanique de Paris, is a space dedicated to trees from around the world, for their conservation and recognition. It is home to more than 650 species of deciduous and coniferous trees. Contemplate the photographs, come closer to the trees.
