From September 15 to October 15, the gallery of the CPA Maurice Ravel welcomes its new back-to-school exhibition: Étreintes by Angela Bonavita! A reflection on human relationships and the strength of bonds. The CPA Maurice Ravel has an artistic exhibition space nicknamed the Galerie Maurice Ravel. Each season, this gallery hosts several exhibitions showcasing different techniques representative of current artistic creation (painting, drawing, photography, collage, printmaking, digital creation, urban art, etc.). Through these exhibitions, we make it a point of honor to offer our audiences the opportunity to discover art in varied and original forms and to meet artists with diverse backgrounds, particularly on the occasion of the openings. The paintings depict bodies in motion, encounters, tensions, and deep emotions. Between abstraction and figuration, Angela Bonavita uses matter, color, and gesture to convey the desire for closeness in a world where relationships often become virtual. Through these works, the artist invites young people to move beyond the fear of real contact and to rediscover the strength of emotions experienced in the presence of another. Social networks create quick but sometimes superficial connections; painting here reminds us of the importance of the gaze, of touch, of the embrace, and of human encounter. Each canvas thus becomes a space of emotion, fragility, and truth, where bodies express what words and screens cannot.
