Exhibition of 20 herbarium plates created by Emilie Vast - from 7 July to 26 September throughout the library (adult and children's areas) free access Both small botanical treatises and picture books, the Herbiers present, in plates, according to the plant described, the outline of leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds. Émilie Vast's graphic work, subtle and delicate in line, lends itself particularly well to the herbarium principle. From 7 July to 26 September, come discover this author's work on the walls of the bibliothèque des Batignolles Who is Emilie Vast? Emilie Vast is an illustrator, author and visual artist. A lover of nature, her illustrations depict plants and animals in poetic works with a rather vintage look and a certain serenity. Pure lines and flat colours produce simple, highly contrasted illustrations with a remarkable graphic identity.
