Exposition "Mosaïque d'atelier"

Maison de la vie associative et citoyenne

On the occasion of its twentieth anniversary, the Groupe d'Entraide Mutuelle (GEM) Connexion Plus is exhibiting the creations of its members. Within our association, the GEM Connexion Plus, the drawing and watercolour workshop was set up many years ago to respond to the creative drive of its members. Every Monday, it brings together five to ten people at the GEM's address, 9 rue Saint Germain l'Auxerrois, just behind the théâtre du Châtelet. Brushes, pastels, pencils, erasers, etc., are wielded by the artists' hands in a lively, warm and caring atmosphere. Portraits, still lifes, landscapes are created, based on photographs of famous or lesser-known works, on suggestions from the members and the facilitator, and call upon the participants' imagination. The result holds pleasant surprises through the talent of some and through the inventive capacities of all, most often expressed in a shimmer of colours and multiple forms. Long guided by professional artists, many members have gained in skill. Some exhibit and sell their works. Today, the Connexion Plus workshop has gained a certain confidence in its talent. On the occasion of the GEM's 20th anniversary, we are presenting around thirty works through an exhibition held on the walls of the Maison de la Vie Associative et Citoyenne of the 14e arrondissement. We hope that the works presented will attract many of you and that you will like them a little, a lot, passionately, even madly… Opening: Saturday 17 October, 3pm to 5:30pm Closing: Friday 6 November, 6pm to 9pm Come and enjoy a friendly moment around the works in the presence of the artists!
