Blending art and fashion, this exhibition explores one of the foundations of Swedish culture: a shared sense of order, restraint and neutrality, often referred to as "good taste". The exhibition seeks neither to celebrate nor to reject it, but to subtly question it, revealing how these norms shape bodies, behaviours and imaginations. Starting from ordinary gestures – standing in line, waiting one's turn, behaving properly – « Tout est en ordre » explores the tension between order and distortion, neutrality and identity, the ordinary and the absurd. The discreet order that permeates Swedish everyday life is put to the test by slight dissonances: everything seems to want to be just right, yet something resists, slips away, escapes. Through an ensemble of silhouettes, sculptures, sounds and images, the exhibition stages familiar figures who never quite find their place. Recomposed mannequins, with unusual proportions and blurred identities, form queues with no clear destination. The garments, drawn from different generations of designers – both established and emerging – are assembled without apparent hierarchy. Here, the brand fades away in favour of the relationships between the pieces. Art does not illustrate fashion: it disturbs it, blocks silhouettes, interrupts gazes, introduces frictions. A field of echoes lets past and present merge, the familiar become strange. Fashion ceases to be conceived as a product or a fixed image; it appears as a system in motion, fragile, dependent on context and gaze. Archetypes dissolve and are reborn in another form, revealing a space where surrealism, humour and strangeness meet the ordinary and the mundane.
