L'Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles opens its doors for the JEP 2026! On the occasion of the Journées européennes du patrimoine 2026, Canon, the musée Coupvray, l'Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, the Campus Louis Braille, l'Ecole des Chiens Guides de Paris and the public institution Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles (INJA-Louis Braille) are coming together to welcome you on Saturday 19 September, from 10am to 5pm, at 56 boulevard des Invalides, Paris 7ème. Come admire the historic heritage of a listed building and discover expertise in the field of visual impairment: The journey and training of a guide dog for the blind, exceptional and fully accessible photo exhibitions, start-ups specialised in culture... Free as well as guided tours will be offered to you in these places steeped in history, where Louis Braille, the inventor of the universal writing and reading system for the blind throughout the world, once lived. Guided tours depart at 10:30am, 11:30am, 2:30pm and 3:30pm. Throughout the day, you can also attend concerts (jazz, easy listening) while refreshing yourself in the jardin sensoriel Helen Keller. We look forward to welcoming many of you for this day full of discoveries (no registration required, either for the guided tours or for the free tour).
