Journées du patrimoine au fonds patrimonial Heure Joyeuse
Médiathèque Françoise Sagan

While the heritage collection is open all year round to researchers, curious visitors and children alike, this year, for the journées du patrimoine, come discover a few gems from our collection of children's photobooks, as part of the bicentennial of photography. The fonds patrimonial Heure Joyeuse holds a collection of 3000 photo-illustrated children's books. Exhibited in 2012 at the galerie des bibliothèques, it will once again be showcased in 2027 at the médiathèque Françoise Sagan, in an exhibition devoted to photographic picture books. Over the course of a weekend, two selections can be discovered continuously, Saturday and Sunday: - at the hôtel de Ville de Paris in salon Laurens, alongside other heritage and specialized libraries. The selection focuses on the notion of framing, with an international panorama. It attests to the vitality of the use of the photographic medium as a means of educating the eye toward the world, whether through the recognition of shapes or blur, in the work of renowned photographers such as Sarah Moon, Bogdan Konopka or Gérard Rondeau (Agence Vu'). - at the médiathèque Françoise Sagan, Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 6pm, librarians will continuously present other gems drawn from the children's photobook collection, in current editions, older editions, or artist's books.
