In dialogue with the exhibition Delacroix, chevaux et autres animaux, the museum is presenting a selection of photographs by Karen Knorr centred on animals depicted by Eugène Delacroix: wild cats, horses and peacocks. Blending observed animals with places charged with memory, the works of Eugène Delacroix and Karen Knorr offer beautiful imaginary encounters. Karen Knorr — an American-British artist born in Germany and raised in Puerto Rico in the 1960s — is exhibiting photographs from her celebrated series India Song as part of the PhotoSaintGermain festival trail. Made from views of architecture, photographed with a large-format camera and with digital cameras, into which living animals observed in reserves, museums, zoos or in the wild are digitally integrated, her images blur the boundaries of reality. Guided tour by Karen Knorr, followed by a book signing Monday 9 November 2026 at 6:30 pm (included in the museum admission ticket; exceptional museum opening until 8:30 pm)
