In every room you cross, with every character you meet, you will be carried away on an exciting journey through time. Also enjoy three fabulous 360° shows in our immersive ellipse with Christophe Colomb, César and Jour-J. Workshops for children will introduce you to specific techniques from these three periods. A true immersion in the pastOn the outskirts of Paris, dive into History at the Cité de l'Histoire, where immersive shows and innovative technologies bring the great events of the past back to life. From 13 September 2025, a new experience devoted to Christophe Colomb enriches the 360° ellipse. Monumental projection, captivating narration, an educational exhibition and a children's workshop will bring the era of the Great Discoveries back to life. Alongside this novelty, (re)discover also César, a dive into the heart of ancient Rome, and Jour-J, a poignant immersion in the Landing. Each of these shows is accompanied by its own themed exhibition and a fun workshop for children. And to extend the adventure, don't miss the great immersive journey of the Cité de l'Histoire: a unique journey through 12 centuries of the history of France, carried by spectacular sets, striking visual and sound effects, and the presence of actors in costume. 3 unprecedented experiences to travel through history1 - Immersive journey– La clef des siècles –Be privileged witnesses to the great events and the anonymous scenes that shaped the history of France. Thanks to video mapping, Amaclio's emblematic technique, the images come to life all around you for a unique experience. Among the shows on offer, discover now L'Épopée de César, which transports you to the decisive moments of the life of Jules César: his military campaigns, his political choices, and his lasting legacy. 3D animations, immersive sound and captivating narratives will bring the rise and strategies of the famous Roman general back to life. An educational and spectacular experience, designed to delight young and old alike. You can also attend Jour-J, a poignant immersion right at the heart of the Landing. From 13 September 2025, a new 360° immersive projection devoted to Christophe Colomb will complete this programme, for a journey back to the time of the Great Discoveries. Showtimes vary depending on the show, check on site for the schedule. > 30 min of 360° show > total immersion 700 m2 of projection surface 3 - Workshops for childrenIn addition to our immersive shows, discover our workshops specially designed for young history enthusiasts: Little Legionary Workshop Linked to the César ellipse, this workshop allows children to step into the shoes of a Roman soldier. They discover ancient military art, learn to handle the sword and shield, and learn marching formation techniques. Sailor's Knots Workshop Linked to the Christophe Colomb ellipse, children learn the secrets of the sailor's knots used by 15th-century explorers. A hands-on and fun activity that invites discovery of the maritime world. Code Decryption Workshop Linked to the Jour-J ellipse, this workshop reveals the mysteries of the codes and secret messages used during the Landing. Children are introduced to military cryptography techniques in a captivating atmosphere. Allow about 15 minutes per workshop. Included in your Cité de l'Histoire ticket – No prior reservation is necessary.
