Mémorial de la Shoah de Drancy

Exhibition presented in the form of kakemonos (roll-up banners). This exhibition addresses the discovery of the camps by the Allied armies (American, British, French and Soviet), the repatriation of deportees and attempts at reconstruction, as well as the gradual awareness of the reality of the Nazi concentration camp system and the necessity of trying the perpetrators of these crimes. The exhibition also highlights the testimonies of survivors and their life paths. It is illustrated with excerpts from personal diaries, archival documents and images, maps and glossaries. It thus constitutes a valuable resource for exploring the theme of the Concours National de la Résistance et de la Déportation 2025-2026.
