Le moulin à fourmis. Une exposition d'Eliott Gamer
78 Temple

Ants worthy of Titan. Around their own invisible yet magnetic star, they turn excessively, with exhaustion as their only salvation. Restless and curious, the painted, drawn and sculpted figures of the artist Eliott Gamer observe them. How can one resist being swept along? An exhibition by the artist Eliott Gamer Curator: Rémi Enguehard Opening: October 22, from 6pm In an ant mill, the ants begin to follow one another, forming a closed circle. Blind, they eventually die of exhaustion. This phenomenon gives the artist Eliott Gamer the opportunity to continue his explorations of the body in motion in a new exhibition of paintings, drawings and sculptures. Curious and anxious figures observe this ring of ants, a metaphor for our own societal and inner movements. A choreography takes shape in which body and thought act in concert in search of freedom. Dates: from Monday, October 22 to Sunday, October 25, 2026 Location: at 78 Temple, 78 rue du Faubourg du Temple, 75003 Paris Eliott Gamer Eliott Gamer's work centers on bodies in motion, unfolding in superimposed worlds echoing fantastical fables and spiritual narratives. A self-taught painter, first trained in animated film, he developed his drawing practice in tattooing, from which emerge a few characteristic emblems: slightly evanescent, torn bodies, plays on scale, intertwined worlds, ancestral symbols and mythological figures. Wrestling and playful, elusive or intrigued, always captivating, the figures that populate his work embody the inner comings and goings that shape us. A perpetual movement, punctuated by doubts and impulses, runs through his characters and is transmitted to the viewer through the silent eloquence of a posture, a gaze or a slight gesture of hands and fingers. Writing, drawing, ceramics and painting—the artist cherishes these plural expressions of a single inquiry. This gestural approach allows him to free himself from repetition, logic or habit, in work characterized by a contagious sense of freedom. Eliott Gamer was born in 1990 in Paris; he lives and works in Marseille. He has presented his work in several group exhibitions in Nantes, Paris (Le Wonder, Bobigny) and Belfast (Naughton Gallery), and presents a new solo exhibition in Paris in 2026. Performance: Parisa Mousavi, guest artist Queen of Termite Colony, Keeper of Marble's Lost-Soot-Seed Sunday, October 25, 4pm Invited to extend the starting point of Eliott Gamer's exhibition through her own research, the Iranian choreographer and performance artist Parisa Mousavi presents her work of "insectography," where the study of insect organization and choreography meet. Individual and collective movements are developed and revealed through sonic, chemical and vibratory systems of communication. A 2026 graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Paris, previously trained at the Tehran University of Art and at the Palucca University of Dance in Dresden, the choreographer-artist blends performance and sculpture. Her work explores the way bodies collectively negotiate spatial structures and how movement can generate new forms of perception and interaction. In recent years, she has approached movement and sculpture as large-scale living systems echoing human and non-human organizations.
