Les « Joyeux Mercredis » - Les monstres de la mer
Musée national de la Marine

As Halloween approaches and to mark the new exhibition “L'appel des profondeurs,” set off at the musée national de la Marine for an extraordinary adventure to discover the oceans and their mysterious, frightening creatures! Both young and old are invited to come in costume! The programme (2pm–6pm) Families are welcomed by Jules Verne in person, who entrusts them with an exceptional mission: to find traces of a mysterious sea monster terrorising the seas. Through a treasure hunt punctuated by theatrical encounters, visitors explore the museum as well as the temporary exhibition “L'Appel des profondeurs.” Captain, explorer or scientist, three actors hidden throughout the museum call out to visitors and set the challenges. The guides are tasked with dispensing clues. As their investigation unfolds, these adventurers for a day discover a whole universe inspired by Vingt Mille Lieues sous les mers. With the compagnie du Nouveau Départ During the afternoon, families are invited to make other stops along the way. On the storytelling deck, they discover a world inhabited by frightening creatures, monsters of the deep and sea serpents. In the workshop, young and old alike make a big-mouthed anglerfish (known for its huge jaws and glowing lure). Everyone personalises their lanternfish to give it a unique, monstrous or amusing appearance.
