La Cité des sciences et de l'industrie invites you to question our perception of reality, at the border between seeing, knowing… and believing! A true exhibition-spectacle, Magie explores the link between illusion and perception, bringing the arts of magic into dialogue with cognitive science. Designed with contemporary magic companies, it intersects the most current forms of illusion with recent research on how the brain works. It shows how magicians have always incorporated scientific and technical advances to reinvent their practices. Extraordinary powers, mentalism, appearance/disappearance, levitation… Through spectacular experiments and installations, your certainties shatter and questions flow: what do you see, what do you understand, what do you believe? Blending wonder, unease and critical thinking, Magie profoundly questions our relationship to reality and the way our brain constructs it.
