On the occasion of Paris Design Week, come discover the two free exhibitions at the Bibliothèque Historique de la Ville de Paris. At the Bibliothèque Historique de la Ville de Paris, Paris Design Week unfolds a plural programme through two exhibitions in which the relationship to matter, to the living and to know-how is explored. Founded in 2025, the ppdesigner collective brings together seven designers. The exhibition Service compris, within the BHVP, will take the form of an open-air café bringing together some forty designers around the Parisian café, a space of life and encounter. Without uniform furniture or a standardized menu, each element—chair, table, tableware or lamp—will compose a heterogeneous ensemble where practices intersect. Throughout the exhibition, readings and activations will be organized, making the venue a living space. The Bois Français & Design 2026 competition, led by the filière Fibois, highlights a new generation of designers committed to promoting local wood. More than twenty projects were selected from among the 80 applications received. The exhibition occupies the courtyard and the spaces of the library, showing the diversity of approaches, between formal innovation, responsible use of resources and reflection on modes of production.
